If you need yet another good reason to come to May Day, our celebration of UCC athletics this Saturday, May 10, we’ve got it. Sponsored by Key Club with all funds going to a great cause, it’s time to play everyone’s favourite game, “Dunk the teacher.” (To the best of anyone’s knowledge, this initiative has been officially approved by Evan Williams, dean of students.)
Similar to the ever-popular Association Day dunk tank, students can throw water balloons at a teacher standing in front of a wall. While a “safe zone” will be marked out, teachers are advised to bring their own safety equipment. (Limited supplies are available.)
Willing faculty are requested to please email Sidney Poon. Your support is greatly appreciated and all efforts will be made to ensure this event is safe and fun for everyone.
All proceeds go to The Eliminate Project, a campaign organized by Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. The plan is to immunize over 100 million mothers and their future babies from tetanus.
