Prep soccer teams win titles at all age levels

Upper Canada College Prep School teams enjoyed a fine fall season in the Conference of Independent Schools Athletic Association (CISAA), with five championships and other solid performances.

The biggest success story was the U13A soccer team, which not only won its age group in CISAA Division 1, but also captured the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools’ U13 Boys’ National Soccer Tournament championship for the fourth straight year. UCC’s U13B soccer team finished third in CISAA Division 1.

UCC’s U10A, U11A and U12A soccer teams also won CISAA championships, while the U12B team claimed the CISAA Division 2 title. This means that UCC teams at every age level captured CISAA championships.

The U10, U12 and U14 cross-country teams finished their season with the CISAA championships on Oct. 20. All four teams ran well and had multiple runners in the top 20 in each race. The team finished second overall in the boys division.

The U12 volleyball team finished with a CISAA tournament record of 2-2 while the U14 volleyball team narrowly missed advancing to the final four.

UCC’s U14 field hockey team enjoyed a season record of 5-1-1.
