It was a fantastique French pancake-making session for the Form 5 extended French class, just before the December break. The Prep Parents Organization donated the pancake mix and syrup, and the kitchen supplies were provided by the Prep kitchen.
Teacher Tina Brunelle helped the boys have an amazing time as they cooked and spoke like French chefs. They had learned a lot of new vocabulary in their nutrition unit which helped them prepare. Even first-time pancake makers had a blast. The egg-cracking process was particularly educational and messy. (It’s a good thing there was a sink near by.)
Pancake flipping took some practise but was super fun. The boys’ favourite part, of course, was eating the pancakes with lots of maple syrup. Each boys took home a bag of pancake mix and the recipe written in French.
