Biography: I’ve been teaching at UCC for more than a quarter-century and previously taught at independent schools in England. Previous to that I did research at the University of Wales, worked for Deloittes in chartered accountancy and taught summer school in Austria. My parents were both teachers, but after travelling and working in Europe, I realized that I wanted to work and become involved in education. Apart from conducting choirs and music theatre at school, I have led several service overseas trips with the Upper School, volunteer for the Out-of-the-Cold program, enjoy the outdoors up north at the cottage and spend time with my husband and three children.

Biography: I started at UCC in 2007. I’m the director of five different bands and teach music to our Year 6 and 7 boys. I am the coordinator for the After School Program and co-coached U13B Soccer from 2007-2014. I enjoy spreading the joy of music through adjudicating, conducting, and educating bands from all over North America and Europe, including at the National Music Camp of Canada. I am an avid golfer, carpenter, and love spending family time with my wife Jackie, sons Joshua (2001), Mitchell (2003), and Andrew (2007), and daughter Jordyn (2010).

Work Experience: Visual Arts teacher at The York School, Supply teaching at Branksome Hall and Havergal College. Prior to teaching I worked at the Canadian Cancer Society, Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. At these organizations I worked in marketing, events and donor relations.
Biography: I am the SK-5 visual arts teacher and I also teach Year 5 design inquiry. I am also leading the Sprouts garden club, art studio this winter and hopefully Year 7 rugby in the spring. I cycle to work each day, love photography, painting and exploring graffiti in the city. I played rugby in high school, have coached ultimate frisbee for years and love hiking the most.
