Current Title: Upper School film studies teacher
Academic Background: BASc. and B.Ed. (University of Lethbridge), M.Ed. in holistic and aesthetic education (University of Toronto)
Biography: My grandmother, two uncles and mother were teachers, and they inspired my sister and I to continue the family tradition. From teaching swimming and skiing to working as a docent in the University of Lethbridge Art Gallery, I always seemed to gravitate towards the profession. While doing odd jobs and travelling across Canada’s north, I worked as a substitute teacher and was hooked. I spent 11 years teaching art and film in British Columbia before going overseas with my family to teach at international schools in Manila, Philippines and Shanghai, China. I enjoy helping students through the process of filmmaking, from the genesis of the story they want to tell to the tough final editing decisions.
