Biography: Music has always been an important part of my life. From teaching private lessons and taking a peer-tutoring course, I fell in love with sharing my knowledge and passion with others. Pursuing a career in teaching was a natural and obvious path. Outside of the College, I enjoy cycling and photography, and am an avid reader.
Current Title: Upper School music and theory of knowledge teacher
Academic Background: B.Music in jazz performance (University of Toronto), B.Ed. (Faculty of Education, University of Toronto)
Biography: I direct UCC’s senior jazz ensemble and the symphonic band. A love of music and the camaraderie of performance have always inspired me. My teaching career was a natural evolution from the private music lessons I gave while working as a professional musician. I led several jazz ensembles, recorded a number of CDs and toured North America and Europe for much of my younger years. I can’t think of anything better than sharing what I learned with the brilliant boys of UCC.
