Biography: I love teaching kids. More specifically, I love teaching boys. Their energy, enthusiasm, humour and, yes, even their executive functioning (sometimes) chaos, makes me enjoy coming in to school every day. I feel that my role in the Middle Division Centre for Learning at UCC is to help all boys tap into their own unseen potential. I am a Special Education Specialist, and have been since 2012. I am working towards my Guidance and Career Education Specialist. With a love of continuous learning, I hope to infuse the desire to learn and grow in my students. In my spare time, I love yoga, weight training, traveling and, I must admit, I’m a retro gamer.

Academic Background: Hon. B.A., M.A. (Queen’s University), B.Ed. (OISE/University of Toronto)
Biography: After graduating from Queen’s, I worked at Leo Burnett Advertising. It was the teaching component of that job that sent me back to OISE for teachers’ college. Starting at UCC as a form adviser, I taught English and history with extra-curricular interests in debating, public speaking and sustainability initiatives. I was offered the R. Foss Secondment to work for a year in the Wernham & West Centre for Learning in 2005 and I continue to coordinate the program for the Primary Division. My passion lies in building lessons with peers and teaching in flexible, small groups. I’m thankful that I never have the same day twice and that the boys fill my days with laughter.
