Upper Canada College will launch its summer-in-residence program for students aged 10 to 15 in July 2018. The energetic and cosmopolitan backdrop of Toronto will provide many enrichment opportunities.
The program is comprised of three sections: Juniors (ages 10-11), Intermediates (ages 12-13) and Seniors (ages 14-15). Campers in the Junior and Intermediate divisions will choose from a wide variety of one-week day camps, with the option of selecting three diverse camp options to experience within the program. Senior campers will participate in UCC’s leadership-in-training program that incorporates a team-centred approach to initiative, volunteerism and mentorship.
From a skating complex that’s second to none, to well-equipped, newly renovated and secure boarding houses, UCC’s facilities inspire fun, learning and resilience in our participants’ every pursuit. Best of all, it is located on 40 beautiful acres in the heart of Toronto, Canada, just a 20-minute drive from Pearson International Airport.
UCC’s Summer Life experience offers students the opportunity to select from a wide range of day programs including robotics, visual arts, lm and theatre. As well, an array of sports camps includes golf, tennis, basketball, baseball and soccer. Students will spend their days integrated into UCC’s day camp population, making connections with local campers and enhancing their English language skills.
On evenings and weekends, students will participate in cultural excursions to local landmarks in and around Toronto.
Participants in the UCC Summer Life program will visit some of Toronto’s and Ontario’s most popular tourist attractions, including the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Ripley’s Aquarium, the Royal Ontario Museum and Centre Island.
They will also enjoy time at UCC’s Norval Outdoor School, our 430-acres outdoor education facility, located 45 minutes west of the city.
Summer Life students will live in UCC’s recently renovated residence buildings, Seaton’s House and Wedd’s House. Each house offers comfortable common spaces and games rooms. Males and females will board in separate buildings. Each student’s room comes fully furnished with bed linens, a desk and chair, a secure place to lock personal belongings and wi-fi access.
Summer Life students will enjoy three nutritious meals in our campus cafeteria. Meals are made fresh each day and prepared in our on-site kitchen. Allergies and dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
