|LEVEL||BIRTH YEAR||2018 INTAKE|
|Year 3||2010||20-22 students|
The deadline to apply is December 1, 2017. The application fee schedule is as follows:
To submit your online application, register through the Online Application portal and create a Bluenet account. Once you’ve registered, you can start filling out the form, save your work and return to complete and submit it at any time.
Submit the online form along with PDF copies of the following documents:
Applicants are required to submit these documents by December 1, 2017. All applicants will also need to send a current school report as soon as it becomes available.
Please do not submit any additional documents unless requested.
Applicants are required to write an entrance test at UCC on January 27, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. The test is age-appropriate and evaluates literacy and numeracy skills, followed by a creative and social skills activity. We’ve prepared a practice test so that families can get a sense of the content and format.
Upon receipt of all required documents, selected candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview. Interviews take place from October through mid-February. Please note that in some cases interviews will not be scheduled until test results have been received.
The interview is about 45 minutes in total. Before spending time with the applicant, one of our Admission Counselors will meet briefly with parents. While this is happening, the applicant will be asked to complete a short writing sample. The writing exercise has two purposes: it is intended to give the applicant an opportunity to express himself creatively, and to give us a snapshot of his ability to express himself thoughtfully and creatively. The writing sample is not graded.
After the Admission Counselor has met with the parents, he/she will interview the applicant. During the applicant interview, the student will be asked to read a short piece while the remainder of the time is a relaxed conversation where he is encouraged to share information about himself and get to know us. The interview is meant to give insight into the applicant and family’s personalities, interests and values. It is also an opportunity for parents to gain a deeper insight into who we are and what we do at UCC.
We require at least one parent to participate in the interview process.
Admission decisions will be sent on February 23, 2018.
