Leaving Class 2011

Old Boys > Leaving Class 2011
All the years of hard work have finally paid off, and you’re now officially an Old Boy. The UCC Association welcomes you to the ranks of the thousands of Old Boys who graduated before you. But before you head out into the world, ready to make your mark, remember to stay in touch with your new Old Boy network and take advantage of the many resources available to you.

Please read the news from UCC and refer regularly to the UCC website for Old Boy events. Young Old Boys (less than 15 years out) will get discounts on many events throughout the year, including golf tournaments and dinners. There are also special events organized by the Young Alumni Advisory Committee catered specifically to our newest Old Boys. Also, the UCC Association hosts branch events in cities all around the world. No matter where you are, you can stay in touch.

You can also join the Upper Canada College Alumni groups on both Facebook and LinkedIn. With social media today, there are no excuses for losing touch with UCC Old Boys!

The Common Ties mentorship program helps you connect with experienced Old Boys to discuss your career as you move through university and prepare for the “real world.”

As Hassan Khan '93 said, "The best piece of advice I ever received was from one of my mentors. He said, 'Don't set goals, set directions and always remain open to opportunities.'"

Good Luck and Stay Connected!

Remember send news about what you’re doing to classnotes@ucc.on.ca for publication in Old Times.
