It’s “three for three” Old Boy brothers at Cambridge
Andrew Pel ’08 graduated from Cambridge University’s Wolfson College with an MPhil in screen media and culture. Adrian Pel ’10 graduated from Cambridge’s St. Catharine’s College, where he studied geography.
“This is probably the first time that two UCC grads who are brothers were at Cambridge at the same time,” says proud father Brian Pel.
Alex Pel ’13 is currently at Cambridge’s Gonville and Caius College, where he’s studying theology, after having studied English and music at McGill University.
Both Andrew and father Brian credit UCC’s International Baccalaureate program for grooming the family for Cambridge.
“It’s an extremely difficult university to get into, and the IB played a huge role in getting them all there,” says Brian. “It is a high level standard that is clearly accepted around the world.”
