UCC announces passing of first female governor
 1/25/2010
It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Sandy Ryder MacDougall, the first woman elected as a governor of the College. She was the mother of three Old Boys, Bruce Ryder ’77, Hugh ’81 and Tim ’83. She is stepmother of David (MacDougall) ’81, UCC parent, governor and Association president, and his brother Peter ’82. Her husband Bart MacDougall is also a former governor.
Sandy was also one of the founders of the Parent Volunteers Association at the Prep (PVAP), the forerunner of the parent organizations at UCC.
Our flags will be flown at half-mast January 25 and 26 in her honour.
