UCC Boys

DAY 414: HE’S BUILDING A NETWORK OF FRIENDS – FOR LIFE.

Prep SK-7

At Upper Canada College, we know that small boys have big dreams. And we’ve developed quite the reputation for nurturing and realizing those dreams. After all, we’ve been experts in preparing boys for their future for more than 180 years.

On arrival, every boy is a bit mesmerized by the sheer size of our central Toronto campus, all 39 acres of it. It’s quite the impressive place, with its lush playing fields, twin-pad arena, heritage buildings and grand landmark clock tower. Despite its size the Preparatory School (or “the Prep” as it’s known) is actually a cozy place. With 400 students in Senior Kindergarten through Year 7, we’re fond of saying that UCC delivers “big school opportunities with a small school feel.” Our educators are passionately committed to offering a warm, nurturing environment in which learning can click. We use the expression “lifelong learning” a lot. And that means we teach everything with an eye to future success in life in the broadest sense. Wherever boys choose to set their sights, we believe a UCC education will set them on the right path. A UCC education isn’t just a collection of skill sets. It’s an alma mater that commands respect among colleagues. It’s a network of friends, a community to return to throughout a man’s life, a sense of self and of belonging. Welcome aboard.
