After graduating later this month, boarding students Justin Sadler and PJ Conlon will head to the west coast to play hockey for the Victoria Grizzlies of the British Columbia Hockey League. The BCHL is one of Canada’s premier destinations for junior hockey players who are looking to go on to attend university and play for National Collegiate Athletic Association teams. Jamie Benn, Tyler Bozak and Greg Zanon are among the Grizzlies alumni who’ve gone on to National Hockey League careers.
Sadler was also recently drafted in the 20th round by the Dubuque Saints of the United States Hockey League, which is a great recognition for a young player.
Sadler and Conlon were both four-year varsity hockey players who’ve also represented UCC on the baseball diamond and tennis court respectively.
