Once you’ve registered, you can start filling out the form, save your work and return to complete and submit it at any time. Please ensure that all form fields are complete before submitting as a form cannot be edited once submitted.
Please allow two days for processing the application form. Once your form has been processed, you can return to upload PDF copies of the following documents:
Applicants are required to submit these documents by December 1, 2017. All applicants will also need to send a current school report as soon as it becomes available.
Please do not submit any additional documents unless requested.
UCC commits over $5 million in financial assistance annually to ensure the college remains affordable for our families. Assistance is available to Canadian citizens starting in Year 5, so we encourage all eligible applicants to apply. While a small percentage of financial assistance is dedicated to one-time merit-based Entrance Scholarships, 98.5 per cent of financial assistance is awarded on the basis of family need as established by a third-party organization, Apple Financial Services. Financial assistance decisions are separate from admission decisions. Awards range from $5,000 to full tuition.
The deadline to apply for financial assistance is December 31, 2017. Visit Affording UCC to learn more and apply.
The Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) is a standardized entrance test used by many independent schools. It measures the basic verbal, quantitative, and reading skills students develop over time — skills that are needed for successful performance at UCC. There is no minimum test score required. Test results are used in conjunction with other information gained during the admission process to round out our understanding of the applicant’s abilities. We do not endorse any test preparation courses. We do suggest applicants use the resources available through the SSAT Practice Portal to practice before writing the test.
All applicants are required to register for and write the SSAT as early as possible beginning in September and no later than December 31, 2017. To begin, you must create a student account with SSAT. Once you’ve created an account, you can register to write the test.
Applicants should use the SSAT’s Test Center Search to find a test date and location near them. Please include UCC as a score recipient (test centre code 7858) when you register for any test. We will only accept test results directly from the SSAT organization.
If the SSAT is not available in your area, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 416-488-1125 ext. 2221 to make alternate arrangements.
It may seem like an eternity to wait, but we don’t reach out to our Year 8, 10 and 11 applicant families until we know there is space available at these levels. This only happens after re-enrollment is finalized in April. Should space permit, we will contact selected candidates to schedule interviews and assessments at the end of April. Any decisions will be made shortly thereafter.
