UCC IB Conference,

Tuesday June 26 – Thursday June 28, 2018

Due to several large conferences in Toronto we have been unable to secure a block of rooms at a local hotel.  We apologize for any inconvenience and suggest that you book a hotel online that is accessible by the Toronto Transit System (TTC) or within a reasonable taxi drive. Uber also is working well here in Toronto. Please see below for a list of local hotels that are nearby.

As a result we will not be offering a shuttle to and from any hotels this year and participants will have to make their own way to the campus.

The closest TTC stop is either St. Clair or Davisville and you can find walking maps on a Google map to 200 Lonsdale Road. It is a 12 minute walk from the TTC and a nice way to start and end the day after a long day of sitting. St Clair West station is a 20 minute walk away.

The good news is that we do have our newly renovated boarding house here on campus. It is the most convenient and priced far below what the hotels are charging.

UCC Campus – 200 Lonsdale Road – Most convenient and economical!

boarding1We are pleased to be able to offer, for the first time, accommodations right on campus in our newly renovated boarding house. Rooms include wireless internet, towels, sheets, blankets and free parking. All rooms have lockable closets and can be locked from the inside only. Please note there are shared washroom facilities.   Restaurants and TTC are within a 10 minute walk and the conference is just across the quad!

Room Rate: $80 per night for a single. $120 for a double (+ 13% HST).

Please use this form to reserve a room.

(Note: this will redirect you to the 2017 IB registration form; anybody who wishes to book a room in the boarding house must do so as part of their registration process.)

Upper Canada College is easily accessible via Pearson International Airport, Union Station (rail), the central bus terminal and by private car. Local public transit is fast, safe and efficient.

Transportation to Toronto and accommodation during the conference is the responsibility of participants. UCC’s IB Teacher Conference provides a list of recommended accommodations and transportation between those hotels and the conference. Participants staying at alternative locations must provide their own transportation to UCC.

Toronto is served by two airports: Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ). Participants must arrange their own transportation from the airport to the hotel via public transit, airport shuttle or taxi.

Here is a link to information about our new train from the airport. The train is easier than taking our TTC (public transit) and very affordable.
