Matt King ’99

Sport: Rugby
A multi-sport athlete at UCC, and the recipient of several Ontario championships and most valuable player awards; played for Canada’s rugby team at two World Cups; selected Ontario University Athletics rookie of the year and MVP when playing for the University of Western Ontario; a member of teams that took home two provincial rugby gold medals; sidelined by a neck injury while playing for Canada, as well as by a genetic condition that prevented him from continuing his rugby career, he hung up his cleats in 2006.
