David Hadden ’71

Sport: Football, running back
A multi-sport athlete at UCC, focused on football during his post-secondary years at Queen’s University in Kingston; led the league in rushing while averaging almost 20 yards a carry; was named team MVP in 1973 and was later inducted into the Queen’s Hall of Fame; drafted first overall in 1974 by Ottawa in the Canadian Football League and played four professional seasons, for Toronto, Saskatchewan and Hamilton; held the position of Head of School for Lakefield College School, in Lakefield, Ontario, for 23 years before retiring in 2007.
