Accessing a UCC Education |
Our sector-leading financial assistance program provides close to $7 million in FA each year, a process that brings the best students to the College and enhances the UCC experience for all. FA supports more than 20 per cent of eligible students in Year 5 and above, and is awarded via an anonymous third-party program.
We encourage all applicants to Year 5 and above to apply for financial assistance.

Financial Assistance FAQ
| 1. Who is eligible for financial assistance? |
|---|
|
Assistance is available to Canadian citizens starting in Year 5, and we encourage all eligible families to apply. Boarding families are also eligible for financial assistance (34.5 per cent of boarding families receive some amount of financial assistance). For information on eligibility for boarding families, please contact the Office of Admission. |
| 2. How do I apply for financial assistance? |
|
Candidates must first submit the application for admission. The application for financial assistance is separate, and both must be submitted in order to be considered for financial assistance. Candidates applying for financial assistance must complete and submit the Financial Aid for Canadian Students application form, available via the third-party Apple Financial Services website. |
| 3. How do you determine financial assistance eligibility? |
|
Financial assistance is offered on the basis of family need. Apple Financial Services and Financial Aid for Canadian Students make a recommendation to UCC’s Financial Assistance Review Committee, based on the information provided in the Parents’ Financial Statement. All applications for financial assistance are reviewed and evaluated independently from admission applications. |
| 4. When are decisions regarding financial assistance made? |
|
UCC’s Financial Assistance Review Committee meets during the winter term to review the recommendations from Financial Aid for Canadian Students to determine assistance allocation. Financial assistance decisions are sent out with admission offers. |
