On a cold and windy October afternoon, the Blues took on Crescent in what proved to be a true six pointer. With the Blues playing against the wind in the first half, they mustered up a great deal of the scoring chances and possession, but the scored remained 0-0 at half. In the second half, substitute Josh Gelfand fed the ball across the 18 yard box to Arbaaz Ebrahim whose first time shot got past the Crescent goalie to put them up 1-0.
Soon thereafter Arbaaz Ebrahim got past a few Crescent defenders and put a low hard shot off the inside of the post and in to make it 2-0. Ben Capombassis scored his first of the season on a beautiful pass from Arbaaz and put it far post to beat the goalie and make it 3-0. Harris Dickinson scored the 4th goal on a quick counter attack by getting it past the goalie and scored into the open net. Solid defensive play kept Crescent at bay and helped to keep the clean sheet.
Hard fought victory in a physical affair but once again the boys played the beautiful game with class and sportsmanship.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Next up St. Mike's next Monday.
