JV Hockey/SAC Tournament

Brent MacKay
The JV Hockey team played in the annual Gary West Tournament hosted by St. Andrew's College this past weekend. The team first played eventual tournament champion Gilmour Academy, dropping a tight game by a score of 2-1. The Blues next faced King City SS and were defeated 6-3. King City lost to Gilmour Academy in the championship. The Blues then defeated Everest Academy 4-2 in their final round-robin game, finishing 3rd in the division. On Sunday, the JV team faced a solid team, St. Edward's from Cleveland, OH, coming up short in a 4-3 loss. It was a good weekend for the Blues in many ways, getting the chance to play some solid teams as well as getting some much needed games under their belt. The JV team host SAC on Wednesday and then NIchols on Friday at the annual Winterfest event.
