On a glorious fall day, the Junior Varsity Blues Football team began their 2018 campaign with an exhibition game versus the Huron Heights Warriors from NewMarket. Being our Association Day, the Blues had no shortage of supporters in the stands doing their best to cheer their Blues on. Despite being a very young and inexperienced group, the Blues got off to a great start with a few impressive drives on both Offence and Defence. There were no signs of nerves or inexperience. Overall, the Blues managed to control the ball in all three phases of the game. Coming up with long and impressive offensive drives. Coming up with huge returns on Special Teams or causing numerous turnovers on the defensive side of the ball. This truly was a complete team effort on the part of our boys resulting in a 25-14 victory for the Blues. This was a great start for our boys and one that will surely fuel them as they prepare for their next match versus the St. Michael's Kerry Blues in the annual Battle of the Blues on Friday October 12th.
