Part 2 of Battle of the Blues Not So Friendly for the JV Team.

On a beautiful fall evening, the two rival schools met again for Part 2 in the Battle of the Blues series. St. Michael's our host was using the game as an opportunity to raise money for Breast Cancer, a cause we were very pleased to help support. The money raised for Breast Cancer was perhaps the only bright spot for the team from UCC.
The game started off terribly for our boys as St. Michael's put their foot on the gas pedal and did not take it off until the final whistle blew. Before we knew it, St. Michael's had a 28-0 lead at the end of the First Quarter scoring touchdowns on a punt return and other big defensive plays. 
The Blues could never find their stride in this game where in the end they suffered a difficult 42-0 defeat to the hands of their arch rivals. Some positives from the game were that the defence did not surrender any points in the second half and that hopefully a good deal of money was raised for a great cause. 
Our next match will take place on Saturday October 27th at St. Andrew's College with a 10:00 a.m. kickoff. We will all get back to the drawing board and will surely bounce back from this tough game.
