After School Program

It's great peace of mind to know my son has such fun and educational options during after-school care. The range of thoughtful and age-appropriate activities is a great complement to the school-day program.

The After School Program offers a caring, educational environment, beyond the regular school day.

Starting with a nutritious snack, followed by a supervised homework or reading session, the boys will be engaged physically or mentally through a variety of club opportunities, introducing basic skills, advanced skills or character life skills to fit all their needs, always keeping in mind our learner profile.
The After School Program (ASP)* offers a multitude of services for our boys and parents, including but not limited to the following:
  • supervised after-school care for our families between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
  • a nutritious snack to help revitalize the boys’ energy to get through a longer school day
  • educational assistance in our homework sessions from our ASP staff, guided by our own Richard Wernham & Julia West Centre For Learning personnel
  • engaging the boys in creative, physical or technology experiences in a structured but fun and relaxed environment
  • providing three types of after-school clubs to challenge and educate our boys on different levels (active bodies, active minds or combination clubs).
For families who only need occasional programming after school, the Prep offers a drop-in service where students can, under supervision, complete their homework and then participate in games and other recreational activities.

On Focus Days, the ASP offers an extended-day service up until 6 p.m. (The extended-day program is not on half-days prior to long weekends or holidays.)

For families who need morning care for their sons, before regular school hours begin, the Prep also offers a Before School Program.
