UCC Foundation

The UCC Foundation is a separate and independent entity, governed by its own board of trustees and supported by staff shared with UCC.
The Foundation’s primary purpose is the management and stewardship of the College’s $129 million (as of June 30, 2023) endowment. The Foundation seeks to embody the  College's values — learning, pluralism, service, community and wellbeing — in conducting its activities and investments. Mindful of its responsibility to support UCC in perpetuity through careful stewardship of the endowment, the Foundation seeks to support, where possible, strong communities, social wellbeing, service to others, diversity, equity and inclusion and meaningful contributions to combat climate change. We recognize that all investments have impact and seek to minimize harm as well as invest in opportunities for superior return by proactively integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors.

The entire College community benefits from UCC’s endowment. Approximately twenty per cent of our students receive financial assistance through endowed funds. These funds also support special purposes such as UCC’s Horizons Program, the Wernham West Centre for Learning, enhancements to co-curricular activities and special departmental initiatives. All students benefit from the generosity our donor community has shown the College over many years.

The Foundation is a charity registered separately from the College and was incorporated under the law of the Province of Ontario in 1962.

For further information, please contact the Foundation’s Chair, Elliot Johnson ’94, or Executive Director, Brendan Dellandrea ’01.
