In some tough matches, UCC lost to SMC in badminton today.  Jayson played well, pushing his match to 3 games. Andrew Ko played a very strong first game, but lost in 2. Eric and Nick won their first doubles, game, winng 18-21; 21-16;  and 21-19.

The boys tried hard but lost against a strong TFS side. Eric An and Nic Reszetnik won their mathc 21-17; 10-21; 21 -17. Fergus made his debut in first singles; Brian Chan played second singles, and Nick Cai debuted in third singles. Finally, Andrew Ko and Lucca Stanger played well in losing their first double's match.

UCC U16 team bean De La Salle 5-0 on Monday at UCC. Strong efforts shown by doubles teams of Josh and Ryan, and Nick and Eric. Jayson, Fergus and Andrew all won their singles matches. We have a number of upcoming games in the next few weeks that we are looking forward to.

The U16 badminton team walked over to St. Mikes on a lovely spring day for a match on April 17. It was good to face some opponents after having spent many days in the gym practicing. The boys played well, and picked up some pointers on what to work on for our next few practices. The top performance was put in by Josh Dyer and Ryan Qin, who won their first doubles match in decisive fashion.
