The U11B Basketball team participated in the CISAA championship tournament at Country Day School on Saturday, February 23, 2019. After what was a challenging season, the team entered the tournament with a positive attitude, ready for the day ahead. Pulling together as a team and playing the best they had offensively throughout the season, the team lost one close game against Crestwood and won three other games against Villanova College, Country Day School, and Bayview Glen. The U11B team finished in second place at the CISAA championship and should be commended for their team commitment and spirit and the athletic character they demonstrated. Thank you to Maria Lam, our team parent, for her support. Thanks also to our supportive fans for cheering us on throughout the season.
The U11B team has been working on passing, cutting, and filling space and applied these skills with greater consistency in our game against the TFS U10A team, on Thursday, January 24. Boys are working on controlling the ball and themselves in games which are fast-paced and physical. Team and individual skills continue to improve as we work together.
The U11B Basketball team has been working hard on developing individual and team skills. After a challenging start to the season, the team showed both offensive and defensive improvements, taking their first victory of the 2018-19 season. Their work will continue as they develop as a team!
Congratulations boys!
