The blues had a strong second regular season game against RSGC. With a strong start to the first set, the whole team worked hard to close out the next two in a 3-0 win.
Coming off a humbling tournament the blue’s faced their strongest regular season team yet. St. Andrews took the first set with the blues winning the next two. After a hard-fought fourth set loss, the blue managed to come home with a fifth set win to take home the game.
This tournament provided a unique opportunity for the boys to test their skills against very strong and developed teams. Despite having lost all four games, the boys gained valuable experience in their strengths and weaknesses in preparation for SAC and St. Mikes.
This tournament provided a realistic glimpse of the level of volleyball the boys could produce. Winning an intense game against Monarch Park with amazing blocking, going toe to toe with titans of York Mills, and winning a nail-biting third set against Silverthorn, the boys secured a strong 2nd place finish to end an 8 game day.
The boys started off their regular season with a 3-0 win against Crescent on A-Day! With a tight first set of 25-23 the blues pulled together and had a commanding second and third set for the win.
After a slow first set, the boys settled into a solid rhythm, creating scoring opportunities with good passing and swiftly executing strong serves, resulting in a clean sweep against Appleby. Shoutout to Luke Stevens for his game-winning spin serve!
The team started off its season with a controlling first set win against Neil McNeil. Although losing the next three sets with many players changing positions, the boys fought hard showing great potential for the season to come.
