Blues finish regular season with big win over Tigers

The Blues wrapped up the regular season  by hosting the RC Tigers on a somewhat wet but warm Halloween afternoon.
The Blues went ahead in the 14th minute when rookie striker Colin O’Dwyer battled through the RC defense and blasted the ball past the keeper. The next goal did not come until the 33rd minute but it was a beauty by veteran midfielder Eitan Rosen blasted a free kick into the top corner from 30 yards out. The Tigers lowered the deficit in the 43 rd but UCC answered again when veteran defender Mark Yatchew buried a header from a Blues corner kick.  Halftime score 3:1 in Ucc's favour. After the restart, the Blues continued to press and rookie midfielder Azaan Sayed opened his scoring account by curling a beautiful goal into the right bottom corner of the RC net. Azaan followed this up by assisting on the next goal six minutes later, when he set up striker Luka Chu for his 9th goal of the season. He Blues began to dominate the match with some skillful passing and veteran striker Oscar Brown earned a penalty in the 60th minute which he converted with a hard low shot for his 10th of the season. Captain PJ Bujouves then added another with his left foot from 30 yards. The Blues relentless attack earned another penalty which was converted by veteran back Theodore Heinzman (his first of the season!). Captain PJ then caped off the scoring in the 85th.
Final score: UCC 9 RC 1. The Blues look ready for the playoffs!
Man of the match: Azaan.  Honourable mention: Eitan and PJ.
